Thanksgiving dinner

Bring Joy with Brenda

Created by Brenda

*****************************************

Thanksgiving dinner

We don’t tend to see many Thanksgiving Cards out there, we tend to go from Halloween to Christas. So let’s slow down and give thanks for being able to have Thanksgiving Day. Make this card and send it to the ones you are thankful for.

**********************************************************************************************

Materials Needed:

Gina k designs card stock dark chocolate, kraft and white.

Carta Bella paper Autumn collection

Fisher Trimmer

Martha Stewart score board

Big shot

Technique Tuesday Turkey and Pie

Dot liner by Kokuyo

Dimensionals

Double sided tape

Wink of stella

**************+*****************************************************************

Instructions:

  1. With dark chocolate card stock cut 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, score at 4 1/4”.
  2. Cut a piece of the Carta Bella Autumn paper cut 5 1/4” x 4” and adhere it to the same dimensions of white card stock.  Then adhere that to only half of the base of the card as shown.

Now add another piece of white card  stock cut the same as above, to inside of the card.

3. For the table cut one strip of 1/2” wideand two pieces at 1/4” wide. Then cut

the 1/2 inch piece to fit your card and angle off the ends. Adhere the other two

pieces to the table, these are the legs. Adhere the table to the card and cut off

the excess of the legs that hang over.

4. Die cut the turkey and the pie from dark chocolate, Kraft, and white. Adhere

the dark chocolate cutout outline onto the white card stock and then fill in

the turkey with the kraft pieces. For the pie I just took the outline in dark

chocolate and added it to the kraft piece. For the turkey I colored in the

bottom tray black and added wink if stella to the pie. Adhere them to the

table top with your dot liner.

5. Lastly to make the picture frame, cut  out a section from the other side of

Carta Bella Autumn paper that measures  1 1/2” square. Also cut two strips of 1/4”

dark chocolate card stock and add them around the picture. Adhere the

picture to the card with dimensionals.

ENJOY!

  2. 1. Cut a real red piece of card stock 3 1/4” x 3 1/4” then cut a piece whisper white card stock 3” x 3”. Cut the last piece of real red 2 3/4” x 2 3/4”. Adhere all of these to the top of the pizza box with tear and tape.  Adhere tiny letters or stickers to the front of the box that spell PIZZA. And then if desired add black stitching around the edges.

  3. 2. Cut 4 to 6 pieces of real red or whisper white card stock 3 1/4” x 6 1/2”, and score at. 3 1/4”. If you use the white you can add a 3” x 3” real red to the front.  Fold in half and add a piece of 3” x 3” whisper white to the inside of the card and set aside.

  4. 3. For the pizza cut a large crumb cake  scalloped circle from a cutting system or from a template. Ink up the edges of the crust in crumb cake.   Cut another large circle from a template in daffodil delight. Adhere the yellow to the crumb cake and then cut it into pizza slices. Punch out real red 1” circles and add dots to it as pepperoni. Adhere these to the pizza cutting them in half for some. 4. Cut out garden green to look like peppers and crumb cake to look like small mushrooms.  Lastly punch out 1/2” circles out of basic black card stock, then over those punch a 3/4” circle over the 1/2” circle to form the black olives. Cut and adhere these on to the pizza as you did the pepperoni. You can ink up all the edges of the toppings if you wish.

  5. 5.  Adhere the pizza to each card and add any embellishments you want, I just added black stitching.

  6. 6. Add them to the box with envelopes, and you are done.
