You are so Hot Box

This is such a cute project to give to your hubby or boy friend. Just put it together and tip it over and fill the 5 little log boxes with candy and treats. đŸ™‚

Materials needed:
Chocolate chip card stock 5 pieces cut 6 x8 1/2
Daffodil delight card stoc 4 pieces
Pumpkin pie card stock 5 pieces
Real red ink pad
Big shot
Sponge dabber
Wood grain embossing folder
Sticky strip
Heart punches
Scraps of real red card stock for hearts
Clear glitter glue
Glue stick

Take chocolate chop card stock and score them all at 4 inches and fold in half
Run them through the big shot with the wood grain embossing folder
Unfold and score the long way at 2, 4, 6, & 8, turn and score at 2, and 4.
Do this to all 5 and then on long side cut all score marks up to the first score line on both sides. And cut of top and bottom of the 1/2 inch score to form a tag.
Assemble the 5 boxes with sticky strip, leaving the bottoms open.
On the bottom inside of the 4 outer boxes put two dimensionals to prop them up a bit so they look more like logs.
Now for the fire, I cut a flame in orange for the center then cut two more a little smaller in yellow and added them to the orange one. Onboth sides.
Then I cut 2 more flames out of orange a little smaller, but the flame going the other way and two a little smaller then that one out of yellow then add the yellow to the orange ones,
I inked all the edges in real red ink and adhered one flame to one side and one to the other.
Before the glue dried I bent the bottom part about 1/2 inch on both sides so I could adhere the flame to the boxes.
I then cut a 2 1/2 x2 1/2 piece of pumpkin pie card stock and corner rounded the ends then I cut in half diagonally.
I made 4 flames with no middles and adhered them to the 4 ends of the square.
I took the flame and added hearts and the saying to it, and glitter glued the hearts.
When dry I adhered it to the boxes.
After that add the orange triangles with the flames on it over the bottom of the middle flame on both sides.
(The idea was taken from Paper Crafts Magazine but there were no directions so I made my own).

Tips & Ideas

Do you hate using glitter and embossing powder because it makes such a mess?
Well I have the solution.
Do all your glittering or embossing and when you are done take a lint roller to take excess off of your projects and your work
Surface. You can use the disposable ones but even better I use a sticky lint roller that you can rinse off and use again.
